The 1611 as the measure
What modern Bibles leave out, or change.
The 1611 follows the Received Text. The NIV, ESV, NASB and CSB follow the Critical Text, built on a few older manuscripts. Where they part, the verse is marked ≠ in the Reader and listed here, with the 1611 words beside it. The modern wording is described, not quoted; compare in your own copy. The NKJV keeps every reading below and footnotes nearly all of them. Each entry was checked against the NIV, ESV, NASB (1995 and 2020), CSB and NKJV pages.

Catalogued from the standard lists of Received-Text / Critical-Text differences, the kind any critical apparatus prints. Nothing here is a claim about motive; it is a record of what each page says. The Reader’s separate “Reported changes” overlay holds reader-submitted claims and is marked as such. Every translation the Reader carries, and where it came from: Where every word comes from.
