What every binding holds

Whichever cover you choose, the book inside is the same: the 1611 printed again in its entirety, made to be opened and read rather than kept behind glass.

• The complete 1611 text, printed without interruption: 39 Old Testament books, the 14 books of the Apocrypha, and 27 New Testament books

Every Bible ships with a gospel tract, “Saved By The Blood Of The Crucified One.” A CD-sized, four-panel tract designed by the museum, in its words “to counter today’s too common bloodless gospel presentation.” One comes with every Bible, to read and to pass on.

Why the 1611

The wordes of the Lord are pure wordes: as siluer tried in a fornace of earth purified seuen times. Thou shalt keepe them, (O Lord,) thou shalt preserue them, from this generation for euer.

I read the 1611 because I believe the words were kept. That is my conviction, held openly, and you do not have to share it to read the book. What is not a matter of conviction: the whole text, in its original spelling, is free to read here, with no account and no email asked. The bindings on this page are for those who want to hold it.

The museum

The 1611 King James Bible Museum is in Cave Creek, Arizona, founded by Howard Elseth and Gary Rovarino. It publishes these facsimiles itself, and it is not a behind-glass museum: visitors handle the books. The collection runs to 60+ exhibits across 4,000 square feet, and tours are by reservation.
