Lord Jesus, I come to You right now, just as I am. I submit myself to You. I ask You to stand between me and whatever I'm afraid of. I'm not asking because I have the right words — I'm asking because You are who You say You are. Quiet my fear. Give me power, and love, and a sound mind. Let me rest under Your care tonight, the way a person rests under something bigger than they are. I'm not alone. Thank You. Amen.
It isn’t this prayer that protects you. It’s the One it’s spoken to. You could say none of these exact words and still be safe in Him — what matters is that you’re turning toward Him, not that you found the right sentence.
You might be wondering what puts a person under His care in the first place.
It isn’t being good enough. It isn’t saying anything correctly. Jesus died and rose again, and that is what makes a person safe with Him — you come to Him by trusting Him, not by earning it.

What this is, and what it isn’t
Scripture doesn’t pretend evil isn’t real. It also doesn’t leave it in charge. The Bible’s own claim is both at once: there is an enemy, and he has already lost (see 1 John 4:4; Colossians 2:15). The outcome was settled at the cross, in public, long before tonight — it is not being decided by how afraid you are right now.
Being afraid doesn’t mean you did something wrong. It doesn’t mean you’re “not spiritual enough,” and it doesn’t mean whatever frightened you is stronger than God. Fear is a normal human response to something you don’t understand yet — it isn’t a verdict on you.
Some of what this ministry teaches about spiritual warfare is what Scripture states plainly. Some of it is this ministry’s own conviction about how those things work in practice — read, prayed through, and believed, but not something you can point to chapter and verse for the same way. Where that line exists on our site, we try to mark it, because you deserve to know which is which.
This page keeps to what’s plain. The Psalms on this page, and the verses in the box, are Scripture, quoted word for word. The prayer in the middle — the one in plain words — is not Scripture; it is ours, and the page says so. Nothing else on this page is presented as more certain than “we believe.”
