Walk the evidence — a 5-minute interactive documentary Research Hub

The Ancient World & Giants

32,000+ Words · 17 Parts · 150+ Sources

The most comprehensive resource in the collection — a full research compilation covering the Watchers rebellion, Nephilim hybrid corruption, giant size and scale evidence, flood geology, anthropomorphic mountains, indigenous traditions, and the Dead Sea Scrolls archaeological validation.

Three Levels of Evidence

Every claim in this compilation is categorized transparently so you can evaluate evidence quality and draw informed conclusions.

Level 1

Established Fact

Post-flood giants documented historically (Goliath, Og of Bashan, Anakim)
Archaeological evidence confirms large skeletal remains in documented contexts
Geological science explains mountain formation through plate tectonics
Anthropomorphic mountain formations exist worldwide and are documented academically
Dead Sea Scrolls preserve 11 copies of 1 Enoch, carbon-dated to 200–100 BC
Level 2

Credible Interpretation

Book of Enoch and Dead Sea Scrolls provide detailed accounts of Watchers and Nephilim
Multiple ancient traditions preserve consistent narratives about giants
Indigenous cultures worldwide have oral traditions describing anthropomorphic giants
1 Enoch’s description of bodies sealed in earth creates a theological framework
Level 3

Speculative Synthesis

The thesis that giants literally "became mountains" through petrification
The concept of bodies being supernaturally preserved as geological formations
The interpretation that anthropomorphic mountains represent actual Nephilim remains

Documented Biblical Giants

Goliath of Gath

c. 1025 BCE

Height: 6’9” (DSS/LXX) to 9’9” (Masoretic). Tell es-Safi excavations confirm period-correct inscriptions.

King Og of Bashan

c. 1400 BCE

Iron bed measured 13.5 ft × 6 ft. "The only giant who remained of the Rephaim" (Deut. 3:11).

The Anakim Clan

Pre-conquest Canaan

Dwelt in Hebron, Debir, and Anab. Survivors located in Gaza, Gath, and Ashdod (Josh. 11:22).

The Rephaim

Pre-Abrahamic era

Occupied regions east and west of Jordan. Distinct races: Emim, Zamzummim, Anakim, Horim.

Indigenous Giant Traditions Worldwide

Choctaw Nation

Race of giants called "Nahullo" inhabiting Tennessee — documented in 1880s, confirmed by Dr. Donald "Panther" Yates.

Comanche

Chief Rolling Thunder (1857): "A race of white men, 10 feet high… their fortifications crowned the summits of the mountains."

Abenaki

Manogemassak (Shadow Giants) documented by ethnographer Gordon Day (1978) and anthropologist Frederick Matthew Wiseman (2001).

Peruvian

Pedro Cieza de León (1553): "From the knee downwards, their height was as great as the entire height of an ordinary man."

The Truth in the Blending of Lines

The ancient world was stranger than we imagine. The evidence is real — the texts exist, the archaeology confirms, the traditions persist. What you do with that evidence is between you and God. This compilation gives you everything you need to evaluate it honestly.

Where I'm honest with you

Some of what you'll read here is supported by mainstream scholarship and peer-reviewed research. Some of it is my conviction — what I believe Scripture and the evidence point to, but which the academic world does not accept. I've marked which is which. The rows marked ✗ above are conviction, not established fact. Test everything like a Berean: "These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so" (Acts 17:11, KJV).

"And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight." — Numbers 13:33 (KJV)
